Dear Orlando GLBTQ Community:
BFLAG (Blind Friends of Lesbians and Gays) will be hosting its national convention in Orlando, FL in July 2009. BFLAG is currently preparing to start its pre-convention planning of events and activities. BFLAG is looking to network with as many GLBT organizations as possible in the Orlando area.
BFLAG is an affiliate of a larger organization for the blind and visually impaired called ACB (American Council of the Blind) which has over 35 special interest groups for the blind and visually impaired. BFLAG supports the blind and visually impaired GLBT community world wide with a membership of over 200.
BFLAG's 2009 Convention Committee will be doing some pre-convention planning sometime in mid October or mid November by visiting Orlando to meet with as many GLBT groups as possible, find guest speakers for our educational seminars, set up some fun tours for our members, and find volunteers for our convention activities and events.
