February 25 - My Fair Lidy

RED CARPET WORLD PREMIERE EVENT
To Benefit Hope & Help Center of Central Florida

First ever non-festival screening of the comic/drama MY FAIR LIDY which was filmed entirely onlocation in Central Florida featuring leading lady, Leigh Shannon. The leading man is hunky Hollywood star Christopher (The Templars) Backus. Other Orlando notables appearing in the film include Rus Blackwell, Tom Nowicki, Michele Feren, Darcel Stevens and of course the Parliament House is also prominently featured.

In the film Craig Lideman (Lidy to his friends) is a blue collar worker who has fallen on hard times. After a chance meeting with a successful Drag Performer exposes him to a new career opportunity, he undertakes a strange journey of becoming a Marlene Dietrich Impersonator. Soon his redneck macho view of the world is challenged and as Lidy learns to accept others, others around him find it difficult to accept him. As things begin to unravel, his new world collides with his old and Lidy is forced to discover for himself, the true value of acceptance.

February 27 - Fab Fringe Fundraiser

toxicaudio The Orlando Fringe and Hard Rock Café Present The 2012 Fab Fringe Fundraiser on February the 27th, 2012, from 7pm-10:30 pm, at Hard Rock Live Orlando!

Starring Drama Desk award winner and worldwide acapella sensation Toxic Audio! with performances by The Mudflappers, Varietease and Tod Kimbro, Orlando School of Cultural Dance, The Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Marching Band and Colorguard, Janine Klein, PB&J Theatre Factory, and more! Hosted by Sak Comedy Lab's Dave Russell.

Doors open at 7 PM-Showtime 8 PM with VIP Reception to follow. Tickets are $50 for VIP , $25 for General Admission.

VIP tickets include cabaret table seating on the floor with cocktail service, and invitation to private after-party in Hard Rock Live's Lennon Room and terrace from 10:30-midnight. Guests can meet the artists, enjoy more live music and atmospheric entertainment. Only 150 VIP tickets are available for this event.

February 29 - The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet

One Night Only!

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF (OST) is delighted to present Tony-Award Winning actor Brian Bedford in his one-man show, The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet, playing at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

In The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet, the internationally acclaimed classical actor creates a dramatic portrait of Shakespeare by combining the Bard's writing; the facts of his life and his own experience with Shakespeare’s plays. Using a bare stage and a stool, Mr. Bedford presents a wide range of characters from Shakespeare's greatest works, exploring the emotion and psychology behind Shakespeare the man, as well as the playwright. Through a memorable character or direct address to the audience, Mr. Bedford uses glimpses into the playwright's personality to enhance the audience's experience of the plays.
